The lights may have dimmed n Oprah Winfrey's television show, but the talk show host still literally has dreams of what she hopes is her next interview.
“I have a dream of O.J. Simpson confessing to me," Winfrey the crowd at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association convention in Chicago according to the Washington Post.
Winfrey told the Post that she wants to interview the incarcerated former NFL great O.J. Simpson, as a ratings boost for her new Oprah Winfrey Network. Her only condition is that Simpson confess to murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown-Simpson in June of 1994.
That would probably be a tough sell to Simpson, who was acquitted of the murder in 1995 after a two month trial. Simpson has maintained his innocence ever since.
If there was ever someone who could pull something like this off it would be Oprah. She sounds determined to make it happen.
"I am going to make that happen, people. I don’t just want the interview. I want the interview on the condition that you are ready, Mr. Simpson,” she said.
Simpson is currently serving up to 33 years in prison after being convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping, following a confrontation inside a Las Vegas hotel room in 2007 where Simpson went to get back some memorabilia he believed belonged to him.
