Verizon outages in south Carolina

GREENVILLE, SC (AP) -Verizon Wireless customers in the Upstate of South Carolina are having trouble using their phones and other devices. The company said Wednesday it is experiencing what it called connectivity issues that have caused cell phone outages in areas along Interstate 85. Verizon spokeswoman Karen Schultz says engineers are working on the problem, but they don't yet know when service could be restored. Several Verizon stores reported crowds showing up because their cell phones were not working.
